Stag Model 8 vs. Ruger SR556 vs. M&P15 PS

I think I have the piston-driven AR-15 disease. Please recommend the best cure for this fever from this list, or suggest any "generic" medications of choice. Any thoughts on dosages, warnings, etc. will be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

any Piston AR rifle you choose will be 10000% better than any DI variant, so it doesnt really matter.

I'd choose the one who offers a 4140, non-chrome lined barrel to ensure best results.

On a serious note, you'll get a different answer from everyone you ask. Look to LWRC, LMT, POF (ugh), and Addax for some high end Piston systems.

I have the stag made cmmg - I love it everyone whose shot it loves it, depending on your budget I guess a bone stock one, with some MI flip ups, an FRS anti tilt buffer and spring and a good mag like a magpul and your set for a long time.

The sr556 c version is pretty sweet too and I just ordered one of thos beyond that look at some of the adams arms mega based uppers like the match grade ect over at rainier arms

If your on a budget get the stag M8. The best bang for your buck. If you got money get the LWRC M6A2. I have both of them. Satisfied with both. My LWRC is easy to clean I don't really have to scrub the bolt or bcg. I just CLP and wipe away.

The stag, it gets dirty but not as much as my DI RRA. Some carbon and fouling still gets in there. I prefer the pistons just because of ease of cleaning. None of them have ever jammed on me. Had my LWRC for 1.5 years and 3000 rds have gone through. My model 8 only has 400 rds out the barrel and hasn't had any malfunctions. Despite piston reputation for reliablility, I always keep the BCG's lubed well due to past experience from DI AR's.
