Good Cheap Price for 7.62x39 Yugo FMJ 124GR

    Hi All,

I just got my Ruski SKS 7.62 x 39 a few weeks ago and am looking online to buy some cheap bulk ammo but still range safe. On J&G, I found these 7.62x39 Yugo FMJ 124GR Brass case military ammo boxed. 1260rd Case for 239.00 plus 35 S&H. If bought for 2 or more, it's 229 plus 69 S&H

Any other better sources that I should look for?

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all in advance.

I got 900 rounds of Yugo through Sportsmans Guide for $147 w/ free shipping a few weeks ago. I don't know how often that deal comes along though, because I just checked and they didn't seem to have ANY 7.62x39.

Ammoman had 1000 rounds of non-corrosive 7.62x39 for $219 shipped to your door.

But is it steel cased? That's the problem - most ranges won't allow any steel in the rounds you shoot there. That's the reason I ended up buying some corrosive Yugo stuff, cuz I can't always make it out to the desert to shoot.

I've never ever had an issue shooting steel cased ammunition at the range I go to. I'm very surprised you are having issues with the ranges around you. The casings are steel, not the round itself.

Quite a few ranges are picky with the type of ammo due to risks of fires. Thus ammo that attracts a magnet is not allowed at some ranges.

FYI so everyone knows that this yugo stuff IS corrosive

A better deal is this stuff...

Get some Tula and it isn't corrosive

I don't know about Tula 7.62 but the .223 we got from Cabelas on sale is magnetic...not "range safe".

Some ammo has steel case AND some steel in the actual bullet. Use your magnet to check

all the wolf line 7.62x39 is all magnetic same with the brown bear, silver bear etc, the only surplus range safe is yugo ammo, great ammo but it is corrosive
