Looking for used 10/22 for conversion

    All,

Have a buddy who just tried out a 10/22 converted to .17 Mach 2, and is thinking about putting one together. He's already got a standard .22LR 10/22 but doesn't want to mess with that one. Any leads on a 10/22 in SF Bay Area, preferably south bay? Anyone got a spare collecting dust in the safe?

    Thanks!

I do not have a lead on one for you but I can tell you I sure love mine. When I built mine Boyd's was running a package deal on the barrel, stock, recoil spring, and heavier charging handle. The only problem that I have with mine is that unlike my bolt action 17HMR this sucker eats ammo just like your 10/22 and at $4.00+ per box it sneaks up on you quick. Best price I have found for ammo is CDNN at $3.99 a box.

    Good luck,
    Mark

+2 For the 17hm2 conversion. Very fun round to shoot. I have the Rhineland stock and Magnum Research conversion. It's the way to go if there's no wind.
