Noveske KX3 ?

Sorry if this has been asked before, does anybody know how many inches does the KX3 add to the overall barrel length after it is mounted? I can only find the total length of the KX3 which is 3.28" but not the length it adds after installation

If it is 3.28 inches long wouldn't it add the same amount? I have one and it comes with a crush washer so you might add that into the euation. What is the length of the barrel you want to add it to?

It is 3.28" long but you have to put into consideration the threaded areas of both the barrel and the KX3. I'm thinking about putting it on a 12.5" barrel, maybe add a washer or 2 to reach the 16" requirement

12.5" + 3.28" + ~.125" will NOT equal the 16" minimum even without factoring in the length of thread eaten up by the KX3. The general rule of thumb is to subtract roughly half an inch from the barrel length when something is threaded on. That's why a permanent 1.75" long A2 flash suppressor on a 14.5" M4 barrel is not long enough to meet the 16" limit (14.5" + 1.75" - .5" = 15.75"). That's where the 14.7" barrel (with another ~1/8" for a cursh washer) comes into play to bring it just over 16".

So reverse calculate and you will need a barrel roughly 13.25" long to get to 16".
