    Rear sight suggestions

Probably going to get the spikes tactical M4 16" LE upper with
    Magpul moe handguard.
Any suggestions for a rear sight (DD A1.5, Troy?) or others?
Optics are probably going to follow at a later date....and budget.
    Thanks for any info.

I have used the Daniel defense and it is a great sight if you want something tough and with few moving parts. The Troy is one of the higher end flip-up sights and a little more expense. I currently use a Matech and it is my personal favorite of the ones I have tried. Do you want flip up or fixed? what type of optic are you wanting to get? Oh and also if you want fixed check out the LMT.

depending on fixed or flip up, I'd go with either Daniel Defense (fixed), or Troy for flip ups.

        Flip versus fixed

I'm thinking that the front sight is going to be in the way anyway even
if it is a flipdown rear sight (per optics).
Does it make a difference as far as optical mounts if it is flip or fixed?
Eventually I would like to get an aimpoint or something similiar.

I went with YHM front and rear, with a YHM riser i can see right through my red dot to use irons, then fold-em down when i use the dot.

When you get an Aimpoint, you have to get the proper mount for an AR flattop..

you can get lower 1/3 cowitness, or absolute cowitness.. Here's an illustration of the two:

If you plan on getting a red dot or scope later, then a flip up BUIS is what you want. Troy, KAC, ARMS, Midwest Industries, YHM, Magpul, and GG&G are a few I recommend.

I am currently using the DD 1.5 fixed rear sight. Its appears pretty durable. My only issue is with the dial. Its a bit of a pain to move while zero'ing. However, i guess it also means it should not accidentally get moved. Besides, after that you shouldnt really be messing with it.
