    Mosin Nagant

    Hey folks.

I've decided I need to own a couple of Mosin Nagant rifles.

I am in the Sacramento area, can anyone give me a lead on the best place to pick them up locally at a good price?

    Thank you

Big 5 has them on sale for $99 every couple of weeks. Check their ads.

You don't even need the coupon. Just walk into Big 5 anytime of year and if they're on sale, they're on sale. If they aren't on sale, go find the manager and ask him when they'll be on sale and 99 out of 100 times, he'll just give you the sale price because the sales happen every other month.

They are on sale now until June 5, and there is a 20% off coupon until June 5 too!

The 20% off is only for full priced items, so it can't be combined with the $99 sale price of the M-N.

Oh crap, I didn't notice it was a % off coupon, I apologize for my ignorance. Looks like I'm adding another 91/30 to my collection tomorrow.

Aww rats. I got lucky with the $25 off then. Gotta watch the fine print! May get a Ruger Mini-14 with it!

I picked mine up for $74 from Big 5 about 2 years ago. $104 after tax and dros. Just keep an eye on their ads, but make sure you inspect it before you buy it. Some of the mosin's are pretty beat up.

My buddy picked up an M44 from Big 5 a couple of years ago and it wouldn't fire, The firing pin was to worn to strike the primer. Make sure you look at the rifle you want to buy, They gave him a new rifle but 10 days later

The % coupon is 20% off reg price items and 10% off sale items and doesn't say that firearms and ammo are excluded.

Too worn? Sounds more like it was out of adjustment than actually worn down. 15 seconds to fix it.
