    AR lower parts kit?

So I'm going to be buying my AR lower Tuesday(hopefully, baring any issues). Going to go with a Spikes lower and just wanted to know which lower parts kit to use? I've seen quite a few and just wanted to know if any of you know which if any are better or not for the Spikes. Thanks a ton guys.

I prefer RRA, no issues with almost a dozen kits. Go here...www.ar15sales.com...Pete and his wife have been in the AR business forever...good folks.

i have to say it kind of doesn't matter imo. just get one from a reputable company and you'll be fine.

On the parts kit, just stick with a name brand. Stags are my personal favorite right now. Rock Rivers are good too. Daniel Defense is also nice, but kinda pricey for a parts kit.

Stag has the fewest incidences of missing parts in my experience, and they always throw in a 3rd detent just in case yours goes rocketing across the room. Also, the trigger, hammer and disconnector springs are pre-installed so you don't put the hammer spring in backwards and waste your money on KNS pins. Also, so you don't accidentally put the bolt catch spring in place of the disconnector spring and make your bolt catch non-functional and your rifle possibly full-auto.

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

CMMG has always worked great for me.

Had a few DPMS kits missing parts. RRA has been fine as well, but I like the CMMG trigger best.

You might think twice about the Daniel Defense one. Their bolt catch doesn't look like your traditional bolt catches most other companies have. Their bolt catch is serated flat. And the colors is not as dark as others I have seen.

I changed the bolt catch to Rock Rivers.

Just yesterday I changed the magazine catch as well (no pic).

Looks only I know but I like every thing to almost match. Go with Rock River. A couple of buddies of mine just installed it on theirs.

I really prefer doublestar lower parts kits. My first kit was a rock river, that I later replaced with a doublestar because the fire selector switch was out of spec and wouldn't orientate vertically or horizontally when in safe or fire mode. I have been very happy with all the doublestar kits that I have used.

I have a Daniels Defense on mine with zero issues; however, I think if you just stick with a reputable brand you really won't have any issues. A couple of my friends are running Stags on theirs and have put a serious amount of rounds down range without any issues.

                  It's a battle rifle.

If that's all that's wrong with Daniel Defense I'm not going to "think twice" about it. That's just silly.

The only issue with RRA is that they use a notched hammer, which aren't compatible with most .22lr conversions and uppers out there.
