    Zeroing Question (NOT ASKING HOW)

So I had my rifle/scope bore sighted at a store and took it out to shoot on sunday. Now I have an Ar and have shot numerous bolt guns. I can always get on paper, regardless if its good shooting or not, I am on paper....So on sunday with my new rifle all "zeroed" i could not even get on paper at 100 yards. Do you think I should take it back to them and have them re mount it? I also noticed that it is slightly crooked......

    Set up is

fn PBR XP w/ Millet TRS

Screw the store take it to someone who knows what they are doing, such as a rifle builder or smith. It's not rocket science and if they didn't do it right the first time I wouldn't be too confident they could do it the second time

+1 If the problem is not adjustments/DIY job, send it to a gunsmith. If it is with the bore or alignment with sights (handgun speaking) I would just send it to my local smith.

Having your rifle laser bore sighted and actually zeroing your rifle are two different things.

Not trying to tell you how to zero your rifle or anything...

You mentioned not getting on paper at 100 yds but what's it doing at 25 yds? Have you try testing the scope at 25 yds by shooting a square to make sure the it's working correctly?

Nothing against a Millet because I have a DMS... but it is made in China, it could be a hit-miss with quality.

I no longer use boresighters. I simply look through the barrel and adjust my sights. If I can't use the barrel as a reference, I'd zero at 25yd and adjust the true zero when I'm at the 100yd.
