    Bullet Button Not Functioning Properly

Have one that doesn't release the mag when using a tool. I have it tightened down all the way, no movement in the button itself. When I adjust the BB by unscrewing it more, the tool will then work and release the mag, but also have some movement of the mag release button itself. This BB is brand new, purchased from local gun shop. Bad BB??

The castle nut should be flush with the top of the mag catch stud, Pics would help out. It sounds like you tightened it down to much

You shouldnt be tightening the bullet button nut all the way down. I just screw it until its flush with the top of the mag catch.

It sounds like when you loosened it, it worked fine. There should be a little play with the bullet button, completely normal.

OK, sounds like all must be well after all. I also have the upgraded one, the one that is a red cap with the little aluminum screw driver. If I recall, that one is screwed all the in too and works fine/better. Anyone know if those are still available. I got that one so long ago, I don't remember where I got it from.

Mine are a couple years old, Look the same and function with the out of state little red wonder wrench as well, drs2714 here on CG was selling them complete with the little red wrench for $16 shipped. He sold out in an hour but will be getting more, If you are interested in more hit him up. He is a great guy, otherwise the red wrench is about $7 shipped from Metal Dog Tactical. If yours are screwed all the way down you can't release the mag, As previously stated the castle nut should be flush with the end of the mag catch

It's not supposed to be screwed down tight

Mine wiggles a bit. I didn't try it yet but if it ever starts to bug me more, I may and use some electrical tape around the cage make it's fit more snug. Like everyone else said, the nut should be flush with the mag catch.
