Need opinion on this cheap russian ammo please.

It' the second item on the 223/556 page from ammoman:

It has no pictures, but reads:

    223 Russian 62gr FMJ
    Brand new-wolf manufacture
    full metal jacket
    new polymer coating
    20-round boxes
    100% Non-corrosive

MOST IMPORTANTLY: $259 for 1,000 rounds delivered!

It doesn't say if it's brass casing or not, would you guys recommend this ammo as "quality ammo?" With that price, I'm REALLY tempted to pull the trigger and stock up, but I want some educated/experienced opinions first.

    Thanks

It's wolf 223, what's the question? If you don't like it Wolf will buy it back.

The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

WOW. Great price for "decent" ammo.

Tell you the truth, I have my 1000 rounds of exactly that ammo in my rifle-ammo dry box. It shoots just fine and I haven't had any problems with it, aside from it being slightly dirtier. But I clean my guns regularly, and the powder used for rifle ammo doesn't seem to be as nasty and dirty as Wolf pistol powder.

I bought the 1000 rounds of that stuff back when it was $289 (shipped). Now it's thirty bucks less, I'm on it!

      Thanks for the heads up!

ACTUALLY. Here's my YOUTUBE vid' of me shooting off that 62-grain Wolf ammo at my local outdoor range.

I miss the first 5 shots or so, but that's no fault of the ammo or my rifle. That's just me being sloppy and trying to shoot too fast when I'm not even concentrating on aiming my dot right. Bad discipline basically. But after the first 5 shots, you'll start seeing cans and jugs flying around from well placed shots. You'll see me do a little "Cali style" reload too.

Anyhow, it's GOOD AMMO. From a benchrest, out to 100 yards (the farthest I've shot so far with my AR) it's dead on.

        Here's the vid:

I just ordered the 55 gr version.
You can save another $10 if you send in a check or MO.

I just bought some Russian Tula .223 for 199.50 per 1000 from Cabelas. Shipping was 12.95. This was 55 gr fmj and from what I have read Tula is re-packaged Wolf.
            Works for me...

              It's probably similiar to this:

Cheaper Than Dirt! is America's Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter, and we live up to that title. Expect bulk ammo deals, discounts, gun care accessories and more

Except for the weight. I bought 500 rounds of this stuff and it shoots fine. I shot off 200 rounds the other day without any failures. I believe it's steel casing which some people frown upon, but I would rather have more trigger time.

I think it's all null if you clean your firearms regularly like I do. Who cares if it shoots dirty or not...

I love it. Its what Russian guns were designed to run on.

If you accept that you will be spending a little more time cleaning and won't be getting sub moa groups then it is fine ammo.

What rifle you have that is shooting sub moa, is it a bolt gun?

The question is that it's by far the cheapest I've seen on 1,000 rounds. The price point almost seems too cheap to be quality stuff, that's why I'm asking here.
