    Barrel Shop in Sunny SoCal?

Is there a good reputable shop here in Sunny Socal that can cut my 16in. barrel down to 14in and weld on a muzzle?
Location? Prices? Pros & Cons? Any info is really helpful. Thx.

Thanks for the info. This is exactly what I am looking for & not to mention the prices on his website; very fair.
This is a project I want to start in about a month. Now I got to looking for a good Flash Hider. I like the PIGGY but sems to heavy. I seen one just as good that is alot thinner and about $25 cheaper.

The KX3 is heavy. like half pound heavy. You dont want that on the end of your barrel, very unnecessary weight.

Plus, "Good flash hider" and the Noveske KX3 dont belong in the same sentence. It was designed for Short Barreled rifles. It really has no flash hiding capabilities.

I'd suggest the Vortex, AAC blackout, even the YHM for a good flash hider. They will all make a 14.5" barrel legal length when perm. attached also.

To my knowledge AR15barrels is your possible best bet BUT if you check his website he's not accepting any new work for now. Besides that you have to send him your upper as he has no shop where you can walk it in.

Anyway he may chime in and cut you some slack and approve your work.

The one absolute truth as far as Randall is concerned is that his website is never up to date.

I'm almost positive many a people have set up appointments to walk in and have work done while they wait.

Randall is the man! The amount of skill and knowledge that guy has is amazing. He pinned my AAC muzzle brake perfectly!

I actually just updated it a couple weeks ago.
                        I took almost everything down.
Now all that's there is the services page, the service order form and the tech documents.
                        The front page is correct.

I'm only accepting service work at this time.
I am NOT building new barrels from scratch anymore.

                          Walk-in is the PREFERRED method.
I take walk-in appointments on tuesday and thursday evenings as well as weekends if I am not out shooting a match.

                              Randall,

That's great news to hear as I thought you didn't accept any walk-in at all.
What is your procedure to come and see you?????

If your price is much cheaper then why drive long distances to buy my toys when I can come and see you in ten minutes. I can bring my check book :-)
