    bullet button conversion

I'm looking at riflegear.com and need some help. I have a bullet button on my AR now. However i'll be leaving to nevada in 2 weeks and would like to put a normal mag release on my AR when I GET INTO NEVADA (I would REMOVE and install my bullet button BEFORE I return into CA).
    Do i ONLY need:
    magazine release button
    magazine catch spring
    or do I need more?
and is there a special tool I need to change out the buttons?
    thanx in advance!

    EDIT:
I already own the attachable "thing" that drops the mag with the press of a finger... don't like it. (see below y)

I can't remember the name, and I'm sure someone will mention it, but there's a bullet button that has a key that makes go from CA legal to regular mag release button easily. If you find yourself going to Nevada constantly maybe you should invest in that.

Sorry, i should have mentioned in the original post that I already own one, and it does NOT operate smoothly at all. It binds up in the hole some and has trouble "screwing" onto the thread- and therefore falls off a lot

Invest in the BB tool or in a Raddlock, it is a little bulkier than a normal mag catch but works really good imho It is easier than changing out the spring and actual mag release button all the time. I same mine from my kit in case I move out of this state or the laws change here.

Only two pieces are needed to convert back to regular mag release: mag release button, and the spring.

          Thanks, Gio!
I have the bullet on the retractable cord, but I don't get to go out of state much and would really like to be able to use my AR how God meant for it to be used.
Maybe some else can help me with my purchase order:
          mag release button
          mag spring
(tool to remove bullet button and instal normal button)
          2 30rd magazine rebuild kits

what site sells all of the above? (save on shipping $$$$)
(oh if they also have ammo even better )

Wonder if yours isn't screwing on straight or the threads are stripped. I have no problems with mine.

Palmetto has PMC for $341 shipped, decent ammo and you can re-use or sell the brass for $50 per 1K or so I think Cow Palace Gun Show had it for $299 plus tax. Take care,

This situation, and temporarily installing a 22lr upper, would be the two situations appropriate for the felony button a/ka, Mag Magnet.

It's just like the BB tool, but instead of threading onto the stud, it simply "sticks" to the stud.

Since you have the BB already you should check out the FreeLock Mini Kit. It converts your Prince50 BB into a two position mag lock.

Or if you are interested in a complete two position mag lock, you should check out the M.L.D.

You can find a dealers list on my site as well.

+1 on the m.l.d. It operates super smooth. Looks really sleek and no worries about the center nut wearing out.

Stick this in your bullet button and you are good to go.

Either that, or get a raddlock where you can screw it slightly to allow you to drop the mag when out of state.
