It sounds like it might have been installed backwards. Otherwise there is a slot down there to get a screwdriver into. If it is far enough into the gun, then you will need one of these tools here or use two paper clips.

if its backwards they couldnt have got it too far. Push down on the mag catch with a screwdriver and on the other side of the rifle , grab the mag catch and turn it counter clockwise. It might unthread.

            where are you at?

I suggest like SLYoteboy said, stick a pencil into the bulletbutton as far down as you can, and spin the mag catch counterclockwise...it should unscrew it.

Had a buddy with this problem, and the BB was Loc-tighted in...what a pain in the ^%$

We took a large sewing needle and drove it into the BB, NOT the mag release screw. Placed the lower (without an plastic parts) in the oven at 500 for 20 minutes, (or two beers pre-heat the oven for 10 minutes or one beer), then pushed the BB only applying pressure to the screw, while holding the sewing needle in place and twisting the mag catch arm on the other side...wear gloves..LOL

The bullet button sleeve will most likely spin within the housing, especially if it's loctited.

I have had to drill out a few bolt catches to remove bullet buttons for people.

Let me tell you about the time I found red loctite on someone's head bolts... no, wait. Don't let me tell you.

For BBs, I use nail polish. A drop of acetone will loosen it right up, but the nail polish will keep it from spinning under recoil. I've never had it loosen up from other solvents during cleaning to cause any problems.
