Cleaning Cosmoline off of a Black Wasr

Think if I got a newer black wasr it'd still be drenched in Cosmoline? I picked one up from Bay Area Gun vault and the 10 days is over on the 29th, should I ask them to help me clean it if I buy some cleaning supplies at the shop? I want to get it to the range friday

you should do it yourself and save the $.

I use wd40 and a rag to clean cosmoline. Seems to work for me...

Hair dryer, plenty of shop towels, break cleaner, and elbow grease.

        Have fun!
Next to me in the blackness lay my oiled blue steel beauty. The greatest Christmas gift I had ever received, or would ever receive. Gradually, I drifted off to sleep, pringing ducks on the wing and getting off spectacular hip shots.

you could use an oven to basically bake the rifle. The comsoline will melt off.

Box 'O Truth has a good write up too.
