Question on Troy Ind Folding Sights and scope mount

So my question for everyone is thatI have an AR with Troy Industries Front and Rear folding sights and....

    1. I want to keep my sights on the rails and get a detachable scope mount for the scope that I have. Is that possible and what brand? I want to be able to take the scope off if needed and then flip up my sights and continue. What do I need to get.

    2. Will the scope mount fit on the upper rail enough to allow clearence of the rear sight once it is folded down. I want to get a 4-12 scope for shooting coyotes or varmits out at 200+ yards or so.

    3. And can you post pictures of what you guys have done.

LaRue and ADM . Both will clear the Troys, LT-104 is what I have.

I think the industry consensus is the LaRue mounts will hold a zero when remounted to the same point on the rail. In general you can't go wrong with LaRue.

Here is one example but there are many others on there site.

        Good luck.

+1 for Larue. You won't find better quality gear or better customer service. Check their website to make sure what scope mount to get for your scope. You can also email them what scope you will be using and they will tell you what scope mount to use in order to clear your irons.

Download the Larue screensaver and you will see plenty of pics.
