    Looking for S&W 5.45x39 upper

Hey all i searched all the keywords that i could think of but didn't find anything. Just the other day i saw one of these on somebodys web site for around $550 but i can't remember where it was. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find one close to this price range?

Cant help you with an S&W version but...

If you can go without an S&W than try:

    Rguns

    Or Midway

Look at the tyranny of party -- at what is called party allegiance, party loyalty -- a snare invented by designing men for selfish purposes -- and which turns voters into chattles, slaves, rabbits, and all the while their masters, and they themselves are shouting rubbish about liberty, independence, freedom of opinion, freedom of speech, honestly unconscious of the fantastic contradiction... It seems Talon Arms has it, see link above. Unfortunately, it's not the $550 one. I was among the first batch of people to receive M&P-15R upper from Militarygunsupply.com when it become available, but they no longer offer this product and it was $599.99.

Aimsurplus.com carries the 5.45 S&W upper. I'm not sure if they have it in stock right now, though.

Personally, I'd spend the money on a 5.45x39 Saiga than buying a 5.45x39 upper. Ran into a lot of problem with my M&P-15R upper. It ran okay now, but still not 100% reliable. See my old post:

Maybe...Mine's run 100% with about 2000 rounds through it. Stronger hammer spring and 5.45 mags.

I got mine from Stormfront Tactical: http://secure.stormfront-tactical.co...aba7159fa9ffd1

Unfortunately, he's out of stock right now. I had a parkerizing issue on mine, and he exchanged it for another one from S&W (after he got a bunch of bad ones).

As far as using the upper - I haven't had any issues with it. I did use the heavy spring that comes with the upper, but so far it works well.

                  The S&W 5.45 upper has a chrome-lined barrel.
I'd hold out for one of those over other brands that most likely aren't chromed.

I see one in stock at one of my vendors. Price would be $650 plus tax and shipping though. They only have one left.

I guess you are just unlucky then. My ran 100% even with a defective bolt, S&W replaced it no questions ask.
