WTK M 1 Tanker???

Have Springfield Armory M1 Garand Sr # 22721XX with a 18" BBL. The Parts are all SA GI except the Trigger Housing which is WRA. Origianal GI stock with original cleaning kit and half dried grease in the tube. and the BBl is marked Genesco, Il and dated 10-64. marked 30-06. Op rod also SA marked.

Is this one of those made up on GI receivers in the 60's. ?? What are these worth generaly. Can load pictures later if anyone is interested.

WW2 USGI receiver with a modified USGI barrel. Commercial Springfield receivers are numbered starting at 7 million if I remember correctly, so thety won't be confused with USGI reicevers. Highest USGI Garand receiver is around 6.1 million. Highest WW2 serial number is about 3.8 million. If the barrel is dated 10/64 then it is a USGI barrel that was shortened. Springfield(commercial) didn't start making Tankers until Late 1970s - early 1980s. Springfield probably shortened the barrel, then stamped their logo on it.
