Looks like you put a cheap civic body kit on a classic Ferrari.

hahaaaa.. Got it!.... you guys crack me up.. I’m sorry if I offended anyone.. Good thing this is my rifle and not yours then ha?... hahahaaaa..
Well I'm going to shoot the poop out of it in few hours and see how all of the crap works.. I couldn’t add a sight without the front grip and well one thing led to another.. Hahaa...
The important thing is if it will hit stuff out at 300-400 yards....
Totally agree a better / different sight would work better, but I only have the 1 acog and 1 eotech.. I’m thinking about getting another sight but I haven’t figured out which one I’m going with next and I’m really not looking forward to dropping another 5 - 700+ on another sight but I know I needs to be done..
Anyway I’ll post up the range report in a few.. have a great one team..

You have to own one and shoot one to understand why some chose to have the furniture upgrade.
The classic mil furniture is sloppy and loose. The handguard could never installed tightly and it rattles unless you do some mod. I've had others to concur on this problem.
Upgrading the furniture, like what the OP did, would improve in weight saving, ergonomics, and the rails to hang your favorite gadgets.
Actually, the Israeli made furniture set is the best you can find for the VZ.
I sold off my AK's in 7.62x39 when I've had the VZ upgraded.
Following is mine:

this is my VZ 58
The upper hand guard allows a co witness with factory irons with a micro red dot, or a co witness with back up irons when using the railed stock adapter and railed barrel clamp

You've got good taste in rifles, but I would have left that VZ be.
ATAS gear and AK's don't go together, imo.The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.
