Piston upper question.

is it better to buy a kit to convert my gas driven ar upper to piston or buy a piston driven upper from factory?

all my uppers are gas driven. i was thinking of changing them out for piston. my guess would be to buy piston driven from the factory. any good brands i should look out for?
