      Actually live in NV

Just signed up cause you guys have a great source of info over here. Hope that is ok.

Seller says its a SLR-96. From what I could find online there was a SLR-93,95, and 96 all pertaining to the years they were made.

Geez that is quite the spread. From the pictures it looks like it is in great condition. He removed the wood furniture and replaced it with black poly set. I'm trying to work out a trade with this guy and right now he is valuing it at $900 without the scope pictured.

i would rate it at 900 or so due to the extra work done to it. thats a heck of a nice rifle. i say 500 to 1k simply due to the fact that these rifles were imported as single stack and could only use 5 or 10rd mags and the milling to make the double stack is fairly extensive. if i wasn't in CA i'd buy it in a heartbeat for 1k easily. that wood furniture is gorgeous but black polymer is ok to.

$900 is fair, it's a milled Arsenal. I say if it has less than 1500 rounds it's valued right. I have seen some for $800-$850 and they don't last long in the market.

Any plans to tacticool it or just going leave it the way it is? For me, I like it with rails, grips, and optics on it.

Keep in mind that Arsenal Inc. has postponed manufacturing a good number of their milled receiver AKs - only a few models remain in production, and from what I recall, were very limited. From their website; look at nearly any milled model listed and most all say "DISCONTINUED" except for a couple.

"Arsenal is the last remaining original manufacturer to use this costly technique, used since the early 1950s. We believe the resulting strength, rigidity and accuracy are well worth the extra effort."

So easily worth $1100, and $900 is fair.
