    Remington 700 PSS vs SPS

This next week, I'm finally going to pull the trigger (pun intended) on my first nice bolt action for paper punching purposes. I've been thinking about it for a long time and I think I'm going to go with a Remmy 700 based on decent reputation and overwhelming aftermarket support. I'm looking at the SPS-V or the PSS in .308 because of the relatively low cost and the availability of ammo and the long barrel life of the caliber. My question lies in the choice between the two models. There's about $300 difference between them and I wanted to know what besides the better stock on the PSS is the difference. The trigger too right? The SPS-V has a new trigger if I'm correct. Does the PSS have a better barrel or action? I don't have incredibly lofty expectations for the rifle, but I'd like to take it out 2 or 3 times a month and head out to Sac Valley every now and then to stretch it's legs out. I have a budget, but I don't mind paying a little more for a better product. Thanks in advance.

pretty much the same gun except for the stock and barrel length, I put my spsv .223 in a pss stock, twist is 1 in 12 but I don't care, I shoot 45 and 55 grain anyway. Also given it's barrel length (26") it MAY be ok with 63 grainers. In 308 I don't know if there is any twist rate difference.
