I've already pretty much settled on getting a Marlin in .45-70, but there are two styles of grips on the stocks available, the curved and the straight. What do you prefer?

That's a beauty! I sure love the octagon barrels, buy I'm looking for lightweight. Maybe I need two?I bought a 1895 Cowboy straight stock with 26" octagon barrel like this one yesterday.

I have owned 2 Marlin lever action rifles.
A model 336 hunting rifle with a pistol style grip in 30-30 and a cowboy action shooter with a straight English style grip in .45 Colt.
Personally, I prefer the straight grip style infinitely more.
Also, no contest, octagon barrel all the way.Comment
