Jackson Arms rifles lanes closed indefinitely

The pistol lanes are still open as normal, just the four rifle shooting lanes are closed to shooters.

I was in there yesterday and was shocked to hear that some idiots shot armor-piercing ammo on the rifle range and blew holes through the backstop.

The scariest part was behind the backstop is where the office bathroom is. I was told there are holes through the bathroom walls .

Because of this they have stopped allowing rifle shooting while they repair and evaluate their rifle shooting policy.

Geesh nice way to ruin it for everyone else. Thankfully no one got hurt!

We were there a week ago and guess the lanes are okay for pistols since that's where they put us. It was kinda nice too b/c we had the room to ourselves.

They have been closed for over a month. I doubt it was just one person that caused the damage, I'm sure there were a lot of people that snuck in steel core ammo and caused the damage to the backstop over a period of time, until someone came in and finally busted through. Sucks, it was very convenient for me to run over there to test fire something whenever I wanted.

that really sucks. the indoor rifle range was sooo convenient. i'd drop by after work to test fire and/or sight in rifles.

whoever contributed to the damage are idiots, plain and simple.

It's incidents like this one that gives the shooting population a bad name. Well done -- to those individuals who didn't think before they acted.
