remington 700 tac or savage 10fp

so ya im looking at both these guns and not sure what one to get. im leaning more torwards the savage 4 inch longer barrel. but i do like the trigger on the remingtons.

my boss it talking me in to the savage, but he shoots for them. would like some more input on both these rifles

going to be putting a burris fullfield tac30 6.5-20x50mm scope on it cuz, i get a killer deal on burris. both rifles will cost me the same, so the price is not a deal between the two.

any ways hope to get a bit of feed back here first time on the website here.

I like my Savage but it seems the 700 is the most popular here. More aftermarket stuff for the Rem but I love how easy the Savage is to work with/on, but I'm just a novice. I think you'll be happy with both but you may want to get behind each and try them if you can or haven't already. Good luck!!

I just picked up a Remington 700 SPS Tactical due to its reliability, accuracy and aftermarket support.

I like my remington better than the savage 10fp. both bone stock the remington felt better. only savage advantage was the accutrigger.

the 700 is the honda civic of the rifle world.. you can fix it up all you want
the 10fp is more like the corolla gota look harder for parts

I have owned and shot both extensively, I love Remington 700s BUT My savage 10fcp-le-HS was so nice to shoot. Both will be really accurate, I would give the upper hand to the savage for price and the factt hat is had a detatchable mag and the ease of changing a barrel. Plus by design on the savage there is never a need to lap the lugs, it is a floating bolt head

I buy Savage because of how easy they are to work on. I can switch from caliber to caliber in minutes. I keep hearing about not enough parts for the savages yet every catalog I see has a section for Remington and a section for Savages and they offer the same type of products. I have yet to see one product offered for Remingtons that you can't get for Savages.

I have competed with them and they shoot just as well as any other off the shelf rifle. The Accu-trigger is arguably the best stock trigger on any rifle on that same shelf.
