Get as many AK pistol receivers as possible. You could finance your move.

      Exam....

I would suggest a Rectal Exam to see if you can handle the abuse. Really, the State is to Liberal even for the Liberals

      I won't be insulted
And I won't be laid a hand on.

How would he make money on this unless he sold them after he got here? I think there might be a problem with this.

The cheap micro pistols that are off list here always bring in a pretty penny. Kel-tec p3at, PF9, off list ruger LCP, lots of off list revolvers, 1911 frames as mentioned, and i'm sure there's more but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

              Pre-lock S&W revos.

Bring a couple of HK45's, you can make a handsome profit if you decide you dont want them later.

You would get SO many people trampling over each other to get the goods. The items mentioned here are not importable through normal routes. In order for a handgun to be allowed to be sold here, it must pass the DOJ's drop test and go on the Approved List. Unless you're a LEO, it's almost impossible to get an AR of AK pistol lower.
If you're a bona fide resident of another state and you're moving to california, then you're exempted from the the handgun roster and AR/AK pistol laws. Those items can then be sold via Private Party Transactions (PPTs) at an FFL's store.

Those items are in very high demand in CA

(Bushmaster/ RRA etc etc) It seems like many of the OLL's I'm seeing on the forum are just playing the nomenclature game on the same rifles.
Rifles must be banned by make AND model. So if a manufacturer begins a new model and that model will then be off-list. For instance, currently Bushmaster makes XM-15, which is on the ban list. If Bushmaster began making a BM-15 that model is not on the ban list so therefore it would be legal.

You can make some good money bringing in off-list pistols, AR pistol lowers, and high capacity magazine rebuild kits (dissassembled magazines).

A person moving here could literally pay for the move. AK pistol receivers are unobtainable, EXTREMELY high demand in CA. ....
