    Hey CG,

I know the KAC handstop is cool, but i'm having hard time parting with $60 for a nub of plastic when that is the same price as a TD VFG or almost the same price as two magpul AFGs.....

Is there something like a KAC handstop, but cheaper?

Ergo makes a few different handstops. One looks like a hook, called the "Sure stop", $10, the other are very low profile and I am unsure how much help they would be.

Gear Sector makes a nice one as well for around $45.

The Gear Sector one is very nice. I'd be leery of using the long Ergo hook one on a featureless build. While it's not a grip and therefore exempt from the "forward pistol grip" definition, it might take some more convincing of a DA or traffic cop than the KAC or Gear Sector ones due to its shape.

just a bit of clarification, the KAC hand stop is made of aluminum and comes with a QD sling mount ring. that's getting a lot more in terms of material and function than a TD VFG or 2 AFG's.

Gear sector is nice. I have one and it does its job. I think it was $48 and made from metal not plastic

I just picked up a Gear Sector one and it is nice. The customer service from them was awesome as well.
