My next build is going to be an AR pistol. Im still debating between a 7.5" or 10.25" because of the reliability issues and im not really a fan of the diablo look. What do you recommend for twist rates? 1:7 or 1:9 any other advice?

Both are fine, what is wrong with the Diablo? Thing shoots like a dream, I have several buddies that are going to convert to a Diablo upper after using mine for a mag or two worth of shooting. Both twist rates are fine, 1/9 if you are not shooting anything under 55grIf you want to use lower gr bullets then go with 1/7 or split the diff and go with 1/8, oh wait that is what a Diablo uses so you will not like that.
If the 7" +2" compensator look is not your thing and you want a decent barrel and system that will not short stroke I would say start off with a 10.5" bbl. A lot of bbl/systems under that have trouble with proper pressure in order to cycle right. Most any bbl under 10.5 will need a KX3 or some kind of PWS Diablo Comp in order to operate right. Me I like GPU's so I went with that, just like my new upper that will be here in 6 weeks

You expect to see a difference with an AR pistol? People here get way to hung up on barrel twist.http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.htm...f=118&t=492449Comment
