Santa Barbara Glass Factory shoot (LOTS OF PICS)

Took out some fraternity bros to shoot for their first time on public shooting land in Los Padres National Forest. Ended up meeting an older dude next to us who let us try out his Magnum Research 500 mag and M1 Garand. It was ridiculously fun shooting clay pigeons, eggs, and vegetables. Makes me sad we don't have any close public land in the OC.

Hopefully I will have armed my entire fraternity by the time I graduate

LOL @ the guy shooting the AR in the first pic. Nice shooting position! Looks like you had a good time!

Glad you got out shooting but that place looks like a dump.

Oh, it is I don't even bother bringing targets - I just bring target stickers to stick on all the washing machines and other bullet riddled curios.

That said, there is a large effort to clean the area up and it's making progress.

Very nice! I'm a UCSB student as well and I go up there usually about every weekend or so. Let me know when you're going up, it looks like you've got some good gear for a college student!

oh I'm a UCI student, happened to be in SB last weekend for fraternity retreat.

two guns that i own are the 20" AR, marlin model 75.

the carbine and other 22 belong to another brother in the fraternity.

When I was at UCSB, I would try to go up there as often as I could afford ammo. Good times....

                    Which frat are you in?

Hey, you should have seen it before we did the cleanup back in January. Just goes to show how much these ranges need constant care.

                            "Of course not!"
                            "You're not changing anything."

HAHA no way, me and a couple other UCSB friends were there yesterday as well, but it looks like we were there before you guys. Got there around 10am and left at around 130 or so. It was awesome, we had the range to ourselves. Here are some pics
