Completed Reciever "Selector" Problem

So I have a Kaiser Lower and am using the LPK from TDS.

When the hammer is cocked, it easily goes between safe and semi. After my hammer is released, it will not go to "safe." It instead goes probably 1/3 of the way and although you can't pull the trigger at this time, I don't consider it to be on "safe."

I have the selector detent installed correctly and it does not look like any of the parts are damaged. What do you guys think?

That's how it's supposed to be

It's designed that way. Last thing you want during combat is to switch from safe to fire only to find out that your gun isn't even cocked.

Once the hammer is down (on an empty chamber) it can't be fired again unless the charging handle is racked and the hammer is cocked back again. There is nothing wrong with your selector.

I love seeing this question. It makes me feel like less of an idiot, since I asked it a little over a year ago on AR15.com. It took soooo much longer though for someone to give me the answer I wanted, instead they tried to hijack my thread
