    but really!!! im going to be doing a M1A build soon and need your help!!!

    please post your pics and discriptions of what you have done to you rifle.
    if you can, also tell what kind of MOAs you are getting.
    i basically want to build something like this:

    Nice just remember no forward grip without some sort of mag lock. I have almost the same set up on my SOCOM with the Ultimak rail I just need to get some optics.

      dang... well... what about a bipod? you dont have to have a mag lock with that do you? maybe ill just scoot my bipod back a little

        You cannot use a VFG unless you maglock. That would defeat the main advantage of the M1A, which is to detach magazines.

        Using a red dot on the M1A, or scout, don't expect any miraculous groups. I shot better groups with iron sights than I did with an Aimpoint, then again mine was a 4 MOA dot.

        I took the aimpoint off of my fullsize M1A since all it was really good for was plinking steel. I had more fun shooting with iron sights, now it has a 4.5-14x scope on it.

              Also if you go with an Aimpoint you don't want to use an AR mount like that one. It's way too high. Just get a single 30mm low ring.
