Can your scope do this....?

Seems like a good deal of punishment for a scope to take and still hold zero, much less stay together!

Cool.
The scope and rings I have on my 50s are 'rated' for the recoil (in theory).
I couldn't actually say myself if they flex that much because try as I might, every time I set off a round, I've always got my eyes jammed shut.
Something about the back blast coming out of the muzzle break makes me shut my eyes (and smile) every time.Comment

They can't.....Well....lets get this straight...on heavier 50 cals (Barrett 82, AR-50--30-40 pounds) they can as the increased weight and reduced felt recoil don't punish the scope too badly.
On lighter 50's such as the Ultralite and Ultramags (sometimes BFG 15-25 pounds) you are taking a big chance on the ability of the scope to absorb that type of punishment.
Most of the time, they can for a short time then....off to the repair center.
That's why the 50's cost so much. You really can't skimp on certain items, scopes being one of them.
Also if you watch the video, you will see the scope rail moves in relation to the receiver. If you ask me, it needs to be tightened down.I'm Rick James...Be-otch!!!!Comment

Was just at SJGE today an checked out the .50 ammo (while seeing what additional wallet damage I could do). My 7.62 X 39 looked so pathetic next to it...Originally posted by UBFRAGDWhen I say people though, I am referring to fellow Americans who have jobs and trucks and guns and consider taking a day or two off work to drive to the boonies and let the lead out. The other 6.something billion of humanity is totally suspect, though.Comment
