    Saiga Conversion ---almost complete

Purchased a Saiga 7.62 from Peach State guns. I started the conversion the 2nd day I had the rifle. I purchased all of the conversion parts from Carolina Shooting Supply and used Crosscon webpage to guide me through the conversion. I also used a couple of Youtube clips to help me as well.

The conversion was pretty much easy, but it is a lot of pain staking work. You can not make a mistake and drill into the receiver! My trigger plate removal was perfect!

I still need to work on installing the hold bolt open piece and get a front site group installed so I can screw on a flash hider. I will do that much later.

Now to take it out to the range!

Forgot to mention I ordered the furniture from K Var.com

Let me try and break down the items and cost.

Saiga Rifle $419 OTD includes shipping and DROS at Riflegear
    Furniture $110
    Gas tube $30
    Handguard retainer $30
    2 magazines $50
    Trigger group $27
    Bullet button $40
    retaining plate $6
pistol grip screw and nut $7

    Total about $719
