Hello all,
I've been reading these forums for a while but am actually posting now regarding an issue I am having. While I have been shooting for awhile I recently took it upon myself to do my first AR build.
I have a JD lower with a DPMS upper and a Timberwolf SS LPK. I installed this on my lower receiver and have a problem with the trigger assembly. During function check with and without the upper attached, the travel of the the hammer actually clicks back twice and locks further back that I cannot reset the trigger or get into fire position. I cannot do a trigger reset after this point and it is just plain locked. From my understanding, on all semi-auto only LPK's, the hammer should only move back once and lock against the disconnector once. The hammer actually travels further back and can click back/lock twice. This is a problem as when I do a function test (I have not even fired this once). I pull my charging handle back and it pulls the hammer back so far that it clicks twice. The trigger is then stuck at this point and the only way I can get it to release is to open up the action and use a tool to push the disconnector down and release the hammer. The hammer at this point will be free to fire and in the position that it should be to fire.
I brought this back to the retailer to verify installation and integrity. They ahve now they asked me to contact Timberwolf Tactical regarding the problem. I haven't heard a response yet so I figure I might as well check in here with the resident experts.
Thanks in advance for the help!
