I'm buying a gas block and I need to know what size to get. I have a 20' heavy barrel. What one do I buy?

Which company is your upper from? A lot of stndard type barrels are .750, but if you have a bull barrel, or something in a caliber other than 5.56 it might be totally different -
Is it a heavy barrel, or a bull barrel? Heavy barrely are thick under the handguard, but are reduced size from the gas block forward. Bull barrels are thick all the way to the endComment

Even a cheap $20.00 dial indicator from Harbor Freight will measure accurately enough for this.

Measure the barrel yourself to make sure its correct size. Most barrels are made to standard sizes, but custom made barrel is not uncommon in the AR world.Comment
