I never had a problem shooting my SA M1A 'Super match", brass flew either over or passed my right shoulder, never cauht any hot ones in the teeth or down the shirt

      Sage not as good
      that's all I'll say

Did you compare their weights? JAE versus Sage I mean? That's about all I haven't been able to compare yet...

I have a Scout M1A and I also shoot left handed. My M1 ejects the casings in a slightly forward direction. The person who did not like the rifle due to being left handed may have been talking about the Garand. I say this because with open sights it's no big deal for a lefty, but if you intend to mount a scope, for a lefty it might be a problem. All of the scope mounts for a Garand I looked at mounts the scope to the left of the receiver to allow for top loading the rifle. How much of a difference it makes shooting it left handed I personally don't know since I have not tired one with a scope.

I don't shoot left handed but the clip from my Garands will land on my head occasionally - but the sound of the "ping" makes it worth it!

BTW, Boddington would complain about anything that's not lefty specific. And I find him a pretty boring writer and stopped reading his articles a looong time ago.

I shoot my M1A lefty (bad right eye) no problems. I've had it for 7 years now and have not once been hit by a case.... My rifle ejects brass to the right and slightly behind me at about the 4 o'clock position in a nice little pile. I scoped it up recently using an ARM's mount and it still ejects to the same place as it did without the scope. I also shoot my Garands lefty with no problems...! I shoot only brass cased ammo in my M1A. Maybe with the steel cases it might be a different story...? And to the guy who thinks M1A's are "only a 2-3 moa rifle" well, maybe in your hands they are...? Regards

I shoot lefty lots of times. Ive never had a problem with my m14 or any of my rifles. I actually got used to shooting lefty with right hand rifles

I am a left hand shooter and I own a M1A too. Have no problem shooting the rifle as a left hand shooter.
