Hs sells them in short action.
There is probably a contract with the magazine maker that they will only sell the short action mags to hs.

Couldn't find anything on the Walter's (Wyatt's maybe?), but the HS Precision setup looks pretty decent. My only complaint with it is that it uses proprietary mags from HS, which can get rather expensive. The AI mags that Badger and Surgeon use are a little less costly (But still expensive). If you plan on buying multiple mags, the AI compatible setup will save you some money in the long run.

The kwik klip mags are made by the same company that makes hs mags.
All the guys with 6.5x284 comp rifles use them and they seem to work great.
Mags are only $35 so you can afford to tinker with them...
Hmmmm. Learn something new every day I guess. HS has a heck of a mark up in price though:

Out of the two, I'd go with the CDI because it takes the AI mags which are becoming more or less the standard for DBM setups. Mags for $54.00 here:

There are very few ai dealers so they all sell at retail price.
Just buy from whoever has it in stock.
