Remington 700 VS with Leupold.

A friend of mine has a Remington 700 VS with a factory fluted barrel . The rifle has a 26 inch barrel and is blue. HS factory stock and all original. Has an older Leupold 3-9 tactical scope. He bought a used 40X and is trying to sell this one. I can't find anything like it on the interent.....? What should a FAIR value of this package? PS.IT IS NOT A PSS OR LTR and th escope is just a Leupold vari X-II 1 " tactical with target knobs.

It sounds like a VSF instead of a VS. The 700VS had a HS stock without the fat fore end, and a non-fluted 26" barrel.

I would say $750 for the rifle, maybe $300 for the scope assuming he had Leupold change out for target turrets. I'm unaware of the 3-9x VX-II coming with target turrets.

I would say an even $1K would be fair.

Is this rifle a .308 Cal? I would be interested if it is nearby.
