    AR-15 magazines

Ive been looking for a deal on these 10/30 round magazines but i cant find anything under $22.

How is it that i can get a 30 round magazine for $10 but cant find a 10/30 under $20?

Also how does the "rebuild" kits work? You just make a 30 round magazine using parts before they baned them and now its legal?

    No.

You use your rebuild kits to build yourself 10/30s or 10/20s.

Alternatively you can rebuild your kits once you take them out of state into normal 30s or 20s, however you will need to disassemble them before coming back to California if you didn't have the magazines prior to 1/1/2000.

      $10 for a crappy 30rd'er. $13-$15 for a quality one.

You can't find 10/30's for under $20 because parts and labor are expensive to turn them into 10/30's, plus the manufacturer needs to leave enough of a margin to still make money.

I bought 2 C Products mag rebuild kits from 44mag.com for less than $8 each. I am going to be ordering from MagazineBlocks.com their kit to reduce the capacity to 10 rounds prior to assembling them. This will justify their legality as they are modified permanently to 10 rounds.

Just remember, that modification has to be PERMANENT, otherwise when you assemble the magazines, even if they only hold 10rd's, you are still guilty of illegally manufacturing a large-capacity magazine. A felony.

When I get the MCL in, I will figure out a way to rivet it into the magazine or another way to permanently mount it.

Kinda sickening that it's easier to get an abortion in this state than to make an AR-15 legal.

rebuild kits are for rebuilding your preban mags that you legally had since before 01-01-2000. you can't buy complete rebuild kits and put them together into a new magazine, that's manufacturing hi-caps and it's illegal. you're stuck with however many hi-cap mags you had as of 01-01-2000, but you can buy kits to rebuild them if they break.

the kits can also be used to make the 10/20 or 10/30 mags by permanently blocking them from accepting more than 10 rounds. most people use rivets since removing them requires destroying the actual rivet and it leaves holes in the mag body and rivets make LEO's not as suspicious about them being permanently altered for 10 rounds.
