    Staking my BCG

I did a search of how to do this on google and on calguns.
The common answers are moacks or hammer and center punch.

Option 1 is out because i don't have the funds for one.

So onto option 2. how do i do it? do I hit it from the side? or from the top?
When I say from the sides i mean like, how the MOACKS pushes the stuff from the sides onto the screw/key. or do i put it on top and whack it? because i see pictures of both for example

This one looks like someone took a screw driver and whacked it from the top

this one looks like someone pushed the stuff from the sides.

    what is counter staking?
    thanks for the help

Looking at the "screwdriver method" and from what I read, It looks like the only good it would do is show you if there was any movement of the screw(s).

      That is NOT acceptable staking.

The stake on the screw from the top is the counter stake.

I do carrier key staking for $5 with a Moacks, but I don't do counter staking.
