Bohica MKIII range report: IMPRESSIVE

Finally got the .50DTC out and went through 40 rounds without a problem. Recoil was STOUT (I have the 36" barrel). After a while, I did develop a bit of a flinch & some unsteadiness. That's pretty much the norm, IMO, when shooting a bolt gun with this much power for extended periods. However, I was able to ward off the "gremlins" long enough to get a nice, 3-shot group. Not bad for the first time out with a "big fifty," eh?

Is that 100yrds? Are you loading your own? Or do they have DTC factory loads?

Sorry, guys. Yeah, 100 yards. I was using a combination of some RSR "custom factory" loads and some of my own handloads for fire-forming. The RSR's were full-power 648g. Lehigh's & mine were 218g. of surplus WC860 under M2 Ball projo's (~692gr.) from milsurp stock. I was just shooting & loading at random, so I honestly don't know exactly which rounds were in that particular group!

Im officially jealous now. Theirs a 50 meet in Coalinga I think in March were you can go for 1000.
