There are many ways to get proper cheek-weld and length-of-pull without enriching Magpul Industries.....

It's not all about proper cheek-weld. What if you just wanna smash someone's teeth out with a really solid stock and a strikeplate?! I, for one, welcome our Magpul overlords!

I really like my ACS. I could live without the little storage compartment though. I'd really love an ACS/CTR hybrid. I just want the two little battery storage areas.

PRS or UBR is the way to go. For a precision build I prefer the PRS. It is worth every penny, not only does it look cool but the materials used are of quality.

Many people frown on the price and say that it's not needed but then again you don't need quad rails, overpriced triggers, or billet sets either.

Botach is running a sale now. The PRS can be purchased for about $180-$220 new if you get lucky and look around.

Whether they are worth it or not is up to you. I feel that the UBR is more than worth it on my particular builds that I used them on. Your opinion may differ. I suggest checking out a rifle equipped with those stocks and decide for yourself whether its worth it for you to buy it.
