I'd ditch the short Brownell's pin.

dont have my buddies Bushmaster BCG for measurements. Everything else is in properly. i will hit the range again next week...
The overall length of the firing pin is not what matters.
What matters (and is hard to measure) is the length from the stop collar to the tip.
The best way to measure this is to use the bolt and just measure protrusion with the depth rod of the calipers.
Do this by zeroing the calipers on the bolt face and then adding the firing pin to measure the protrusion from the boltface.

Barrel, sight and trigger work on most pistols and shotguns.
      Most work performed while-you-wait.

The measurements provided are worthless in finding out how far the pin actually protrudes from the bolt.

Tried my lower on another upper (worked), my upper on another lower (didnt work), Tried a 22lr conversion kit with my upper and lower (worked), different BCGs (didnt work). I have sent the upper back to GG&G, hopefully they can figure out what the deal with it is.

Well sent upper back to GG&G. Not sure what was wrong with it but they replaced the barrel. Should work now!

Maybe the chamber was cut too deep, so the cartridge would never protrude far enough to be struck by the firing pin....
