    Would this one be worth buying and does the 1975 mean it is from the year 1975 (thats not too old ??)......

    Looks newer than 1975 to me, recent manufacture. I have a Polytech AK dated 1970 and it has wood stock and guards, no plastic. Regards

          The AK GP1975 is the model. Research reviews on century arms AKs, most reviews will say it's either hit or miss. IMHO I would look into a Saiga, and doing a conversion.

            thanks for the help everyone...only reason im askin is because the one i was lookin into gettin is 1000 bucks and this one is so much cheaper...or is it you get what you pay for type of thing.....

                    It's a parts rifle built with new US parts to make it 922(r) compliant.

                    It could be great, or could be dreck, and the only way to tell is to have it in hand and inspect it.

                    I agree with purchasing a Saiga and doing the conversion.
                    The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.
