    BCG noob question

If a BCG states that it is marked auto what does that denote? Also what would other BCGs be marked if not Auto? Standard? Please explain the diference. Thanks!

The search button is your friend, there are many articles or threads that relate to this subject. Here is one that can help you get started.

I've never seen a BCG "marked" one way or another. Advertised but not marked.

Searched BCG Auto prior to this thread, Came up with many threads that only contained the word Auto, after 30 mins I went for the direct approach. Thanks for the Direction to the proper thread

The search function blows because it does an OR search, so you get any thread that contains bcg OR auto.

A better way to do it is to go to google and type:

          auto bcg "centerfire rifles" site:calguns.net

By including "centerfire rifles" in quotes like that it should limit most of the results to the centerfire rifles forum. I tried this search and the very first result is quite helpful.

I have never seen a BCG marked other then MP. Someone could have marked an auto BCG "auto", but that is not standard. Its the shape of the BCG that denotes what it does.

An "auto" bolt carrier just has a little extra metal on the bottom. That's it. They are legal in a semi-auto AR15.
