    M1A scope mount issue

    Seems that the clearance is incorrect on my Sadlak scope mount...

    I get an almost "stovepipe" effect jamming issue. Seems the spent casing somehow gets caught up in between the receiver and the Sadlak scope mount causing the bolt to not seat.

    has this occurred to others?

      Is it getting caught up on the op rod? This is not as common with a Sadlak, as compared to the ARMS mount, but I've seen it happen before. Suggestions are, in no particular order: 1. Give Sadlak a call and see if they have any suggestions. I'm sure Mike or Dee will help you out. 2. Change out your extractor and spring and see if that helps. 3. Send the rifle back to Springfield and have them "tune" your extractor. 4. Get a different mount, a Bassett mount sit higher and has a lot more clearance.
