    need help with scope

I got a new scope but the issue is that i have the scope mounted as far forward as it will go but i still have to pull my had back to an uncormfotable range before i can see through the scope. The scope is on a savage model 110 so it only has one mounting point.

What do you mean it only has one mounting point? Sounds like you don't have the scope adjusted right for the eye relief. I have a 110 savage also and it had a new scope installed.
Can you post a pic of the mounting point you're talking about?

sorry by one mounting point i mean that i do not have a picatinny rail just the stock rails. the rear mount is as far back as it will go so im not sure if i need new mounts to get the eye relief correct. ill try and get pics up.

did you accidentally get a scope with long eye relief vs a normal one?

if it is mounted correctly and the eye relief is to short and trading the scope in is not an option you can get rings from leupold that will offset the scope forward about another inch.
