    M21 more accurate than a PSG-1?

In tests conducted by the United States Army Infantry Board in 1982, the PSG1, referred to as a "semi-automatic, delayed-blowback operated weapon used by a foreign Special Forces organization"; yielded worse accuracy results than the M21 and M40 rifle.[1] AMSAA Technical report No. 461

Seriously? The m21 outshoots the PSG1? Anyone else a little surprised by this?

its wikipedia. I say the NON-suprise is the source with this info. I just read these two and think it is people on wiki not knowing firsthand.

My PSG-1 Shot 1 1/2 to 2 inch groups at 100 meters. Any one of my three M21s with the same federal 168 grain match would should .75" groups.

        no surprise here.

The design for the PSG-1 is not particularly prone to accuracy.

Back in the late 80's and early 90's when I had an FFL, the PSG reports were 2 inch groups at 200 yards with 50 consecutive shots, Gun test magazine. It wasn't just a 3, 5 or 10 round groups, but 50 shots consecutive. I don't know how true that was, but HK also published it that way in their catalog. I used to drool ever it, but was illegal in California and way out of my budget.

The PSG1 was always an overpriced hunk of crap. No surprise here.

What amazed me is that the PSG weighs almost 18 lbs. Seriously?? There are .50's that weigh not much more than that.
