    First range trip with AR

got my AR completed recently and took it to angeles today with my dad and 2 brothers.

    AR
    -rra lower
    -kns anti walk pins
    -ymh exended takedown pins
    - cheap comercial stock (soon to be upgraded)
    -cmmg upper receiver
    -rra bcg
    -noveske afghan 14.5" SS barrel
    -smith vortex
    -troy battlesights (HK)
    -fenix tk11
    -larue 606 offset mount

the rifle shot flawlessly, not a single function error. ran some remington through it, along with federal, and fiocchi. im really glad it ran smoothly.

i was very impressed with angeles range, we had a good time.

next time, i want to try a VFG, a nicer trigget, and possibly a bipod, or at least a rest so i can zero in my sights perfect, to able me to hone my shooting.

also i need to invest in a spotting scope or at least some binoculars.

while shooting clays, a newer shotgun owner launched his bolt and carrier out of his 870, and i helped him get it all back together.

and a very nice gentleman next to us let my dad, brothers and myself try his 7mm savage. it was amazing.

all and all a good trip, im excited for the next one.

DISCLAIMER- 10/30 mag, and hammer is de cocked inside the receiver, im not cairless

Very nice. I really like the look of it. Has me thinking twice about having optics and maybe trying just irons for a bit.

Nice AR, I believe becoming efficient with irons before optics is key so you're on the right track!

                  Nice rifle!

                  Alternative to VFG;

The AFG (Angled ForeGrip) is a new forgrip from Magpul that will go on sale later this month. They claim it allows a more natural hold than a vertical foregrip.

Irons it is for a while, I can't fund an optic yet. I do need to get a spotting scope so I can see where my bullets are hitting
