If I remove my Eotech to play with my new scope on my AR-15 If I decide to put it back do I have to re-Zero it?

I believe eotech's paperwork says within 1 MOA if taken off and reinstalled. I take mine off to clean my gun and I dont have to rezero. But I shoot at less than 75yds. If you take it off often buy a larue mount or something like.

It will hold relative zero but I would still zero it after I put it back on.

If you put it on the same way (push the Eotech all the way forward and all the way right and holding pressure against it while you're tightening down the mounting bolts) every time I would imagine that it might hold 1 MOA but I would check it numerous times, to prove it. I've done this with high quality Talley Quick Release Rings on my on my Model 70 and can get less than 1/2 MOA repeatedly.

I mark my screws when install on the rifle. When I reinstall it, I tighten it to the same spot. No problem.

As long as you mount it in the same exact spot on the rail it should hold zero. I would still check it just in case though.
