    FN SCAR

I did a search and it looks like a few calgunners have these...what do you guys think vs. your AR's?

Do any vendors set these up to be cali compliant?

I think they're hot because of Call Of Duty lol.

Speaking of which, I need to pay them a visit soon.

I don't think it's worth it at the current prices. Besides, they look pretty bulky to me...

Waiting for the 17 S myself and they weigh 8.32 lbs.

          comparatively, FAL's /AR 10's and EBR's are a lot heavier....

It is my gun of choice in MW2. I wouldn't mind having one in real life.

Coldwar Shooters has them, but double check the price around.

looks are deceiving. My scar is as lighter than most all my railed AR's and especially my pig of a Sig.

It is the most comfortable weapon I have ever shot. Many find the buttstock to be fugly but it is extremely comfy and adjustable.
There are multiple ways of making it CA compliant, I think the best way would be what munkeeboi did:

Just get an XCR. Over at ar15.com one guy did a comparison between the two and the SCAR is not worth it's price. FN is overpriced because they hold government contracts so they don't care about the civilian sector. That is just my .02 and take it with a grain of salt. Everyone has their own opinion.

+1 on the XCR. I love mine, still more expensive than a normal AR, but no where near $3k

I was able to pick mine up for about $2500. Try googling Tanner's Sports. They sell 'em for about that much, but I think there's a waiting list.

Honestly, I'll have to report back on the SCAR's performance as I haven't really taken it out to the range yet.
